The Lhuentse festival is held at the Lhuentse Dzong and draws people from all over the district. The religious mask dances are the main attractions of the festival. It is also the best time to witness women of Lhuentse wear the famous Kishuthara – the intricately hand woven Kira (women’s’ dress). This district is the birth place of some of the most intricate and beautiful textiles.
