Mongar Festival.

1st – 3rd Dec. 2022 | Venue: Mongar Dzong.

Mongar festival is held at the courtyard of Mongar Dzong. The Festival is for three days and is held to honor Guru Rimpoche, the Patron saint of Bhutan. The People from all over eastern Bhutan come to partake in this festival. Many folk dances indigenous to this region are also performed.

Day 01. Arrive Paro.

Day 02. Paro – Bumthang (Flight).

Day 03. Bumthang – Mongar (181 kms – 7 hours drive)

Day 04. Witness Mongar Festival.

Day 05. Mongar Bumthang (181 kms – 7 hours drive).

Day 06. Bumthang sightseeing – Excursion to Ogen Choling palace.

Day 07. Bumthang – Trongsa – Gangtey (156 kms – 5 hours).

Day 08. Gangtey – Punakha (75 kms. – 2 hours).

Day 09. Punakha – Thimphu (76 kms – 3 hours).

Day 10. Thimphu Sightseeing.

Day 11. Thimphu – Paro (56 kms. 1 hour).

Day 12. Paro – Departure.
