Nimalung Festival.

7 – 9 July 2022 | Venue: Nimalung Monastery, Bumthang.

The three day Nimalung festival takes place at Nimalung temple in Bumthang. The temple houses around 100 monks who are known for their talent in music. This festival is held mostly in the fifth Lunar month (mostly July). The highlight of the festival is the unfurling of a nine meter high and twelve meters wide Guru Rimpoche’s Throngdroel. The masked dances are performed by the monks and are attended by the local people and tourists alike.

Day 06. Bumthang – Trongsa – Gangtey (146 km – 5 hour drive).

Day 07. Gangtey – Punakha (75 km – 3 hours).

Day 08. Punakha – Thimphu (76 km – 3 hours).

Day 09. Thimphu Sightseeing.

Day 10. Thimphu – Paro sightseeing – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest (56 km – 1 hour).

Day 11. Paro – Departure.
