This is a short 5 days Bhutan tour itinerary and covers three enthralling districts of Paro, Thimphu and Punakha in western Bhutan. The beautiful valley of Paro at an altitude of 2200 m boasts of the only international airport in Bhutan. Thimphu is a small and vibrant city with no traffic lights. Punakha is the ancient capital of Bhutan and hosts the magnificent Punakha dzong.

In the evening, visit to Tashichho dzong (The royal secretariat).

On the way, visit beautiful Dochu La pass (Altitude 3140 m) and Chimi lhakhang (The temple of fertility). This temple was built to honor Drukpa Kuenley, popularly known as “the divine madman of Bhutan”. Afternoon, visit to Punakha dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. Punakha was also an ancient capital of Bhutan until the rule of the second king of Bhutan.
In the evening, drive back to Thimphu.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
In the morning, visit to national postal museum, painting school (School of 13 arts and crafts) and craft bazaar. Free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.
Then drive to Paro.
After lunch, visit to Ta dzong (The national museum), Rinpung dzong and Bhutanese farmhouse.
In the evening, free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.
Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
In the morning, hike to the Tiger’s nest monastery (Paro Taktsang). It is a 2 hour walk uphill till the Tiger’s nest monastery. This monument is the highlight of 5 days Bhutan tour.
In the afternoon, visit to Drugyel dzong (The fortress of victory). Then visit Kichu lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries in Bhutan built it in 659 AD.
In the evening, free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.

After breakfast, drive to the airport and farewell.
