  • Day 01. Arrive Paro – Thimphu sightseeing (Altitude 2334 m, 54 Km – 1 hour drive)
  • Day 02. Thimphu sightseeing.
  • Day 03. Thimphu – Punakha sightseeing (Altitude 1242 m, 76 km – 2 hour drive).
  • Day 04. Punakha – Wangdiphodrang – Paro sightseeing (Altitude 2200 m, 151 km – 4 hour drive).
  • Day 05. Paro sightseeing – Hike to the Tiger’s nest Monastery:

6 DAYS BHUTAN TOUR (Detail Itinerary).

Day 01. Arrive Paro – Thimphu sightseeing (54 km, 1 hour drive):

Your guide and driver will meet you at Paro International Airport and drive to Thimphu.

A short stop to view Tamchog Monastery. Then visit Memorial chorten and Tallest Statue of Buddha (51.5 m).

Afternoon – visit to Changangkha Lhakhang, Takin Preserve center and Dupthop nunnery – Founded by one of the re-incarnations of Thang Thong Gyalpo.

In the evening, free to stroll in the town for shopping and photography.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 02. Thimphu Sightseeing:

In the Morning, visit to National Postal Museum, Craft Bazaar, Textile Museum, School of 13 Arts and Crafts (Painting school). Lunch at Simply Bhutan Museum restaurant.

Afternoon – witness the Archery match at Changlimithang stadium.

In the evening, visit Tashichho Dzong, the Royal Secretariat.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 03. Thimphu – Punakha sightseeing (76 Km, 2 hour drive):

In the morning, drive to the beautiful Punakha valley. Punakha is the ancient capital of Bhutan. On the way, visit the beautiful Dochu La Pass (Altitude 3140 m).

Then visit Chimi Lhakhang built in 1499 to honor of Drukpa Kuenley. This temple is also called the Temple of Fertility. Drukpa Kuenley is also called the Devine Madman of Bhutan for his unorthodox way of teaching Buddhism.

In the afternoon, visit the magnificent Punakha Dzong built in 1637 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal.

In the evening, hike to the beautiful Khamsung Yulley Namgyal Choling Monastery.

Then walk across the Longest Suspension Bridge in Bhutan (160 meters) across Pho Chu river. It is the longest of its kind in Bhutan.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 04. Punakha –Wangdiphodrang – Paro sightseeing (151 km, 4 hour drive):

In the Morning, drive to Paro via Wangdiphodrang and take a view of the Dzong.

Afternoon – Visit Ta Dzong (National Museum) and Rinpung Dzong, Bhutanese Farm house.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 05. Paro Sightseeing – Hike to the Tiger’s Nest Monastery:

In the Morning, drive to Satsam Chorten and 2 hour hike till the Tiger’s Nest Monastery (Taktsang).

Afternoon – visit to Drugyal Dzong (The Fortress of the Victorious Bhutanese). Then visit  Kichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest monasteries of Bhutan built in 659 AD by Srongtsen Gampo.

Evening – free to stroll in the town.

Overnight in Hotel.

Day 06. Departure:

After breakfast, drive to the Airport and farewell (End of 6 Days Bhutan tour).
